- 2 - Front Axle, Brakes, etc. (Continued). 9. A special 1/4" diameter screw with 90° countersink head is necessary to secure Cover GB.2766 to Housing GB.2765; we suggest the use of a standard 2 BA. screw. Handwritten: Agree H/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 10. The cut-away section of FB.3170 Water Screen is not wide enough to cover the inner water excluder, making it possible for water to enter at this point. (This has been pointed out to Mr. Lesson). Handwritten: Done FB 3608/9. Rear Axle, Brakes, etc. 11. The pull rod to the rear brakes is too near the spring to enable the gaiter to be fitted. Handwritten: Dealt with 12. GB.2747 Oil Guard cannot be fitted without alteration on account of the position of GB.2748 Oil Guard. (This has been mentioned to Mr. Lesson). Handwritten: Obsolete Front Spring Suspension Mechanism. 13. FB.3372/3. Rear Bearing Bracket - Lower Triangle Lever - and FB.3085 Cap - suggest a small radius between the 2.500 dia. and the joint face, and on the edge of the 1.6875 dia. hole to prevent sharp corners damaging the rubber bush. 14. Screw E.87428 is not long enough to take the .250 locknut and spring washer called for on the LOP. Frame and Fittings. 15. The Studs KB.801 and KB.807 which are screwed into Stud Ring FB.2992 are too long to be riveted over. 16. Bolt holes between Bearing Bracket FB.3275 and Front Crossmember FB.3303 are .312 dia. and .375 dia. - suggest one size be made common. 17. One .437 dia. bolt in front shock damper support bracket FB.3325 is too near the radius to allow the head to seat correctly. 18. In the case of F.CD.262 being adopted as a permanent scheme, we recommend that FB.3369 Mounting Block and FB.3346 Bracket be incorporated in one detail. continued. | ||
