We give below a summary of points requiring attention of the above chassis.

Front Axle, Brakes, etc. N.Sch.5191.

1. Steering Arms GB.2773/4 foul the yoke when on lock and prevent the pivot flange from reaching the lock-stop.
Handwritten Side: Dealt with

2. One 2 BA. stud on the top pivot cover fouls the yoke.
Handwritten Side: Dealt with

3. Brackets FB.3117/8 for equaliser links are riveted to carrier plate with two rivets, and in addition they are held by two studs and one bolt. We suggest the rivets be deleted.
Handwritten Side: New design has no rivets

4. Brake Carrier Plates FB.3115/6 are secured to axle pivots by four bolts and four studs, all 5/16" diameter; we suggest the number of bolts be reduced to two.
Handwritten Side: This necessitates forg'g alteration: do not agree

(The above points have been explained to Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Bastow).

5. We recommend that the Pull Rod FB.3138 be provided with a R.H. and L.H. thread to facilitate adjustment without removal during brake assembly, thus saving a considerable amount of fitting time.
Handwritten Side: Agreed. Done.

6. The outside rib of brake drum fouls the water screen, and the drum liner fouls the mud excluder when in position on the pivot.
Handwritten Side: This design obsolete.

7. The scheme for anchoring the pull-off springs is not satisfactory. We suggest deleting the two collars and substituting a larger diameter pin with a groove to locate the spring eye. (See K.K. N.Sch.5191).
Handwritten Side: Some fix up new design very simple

8. The LOP. calls for GW.402/3 Washer and Spring Ring to retain the restrictor pin. This scheme has been deleted on Wraith; we recommend a similar alteration on Bentley III.
Handwritten Side: Agree. HGH.

continued.
