For the attention of Mr.O.T.Jones.

Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your letter of May 16th. The differential washer we handed to Mr.Russell Sharp was forged A.C.1 material, whereas we are actually using in our experimental cars A.C.2. This material is one of the patented R.R. alloys having the following composition :-

2% Tin
1% Manganese
2% Nickel
.6% Magnesium
.5% Antimony

and the remainder aluminium. The washer you have differs from this composition in having only 1% of tin.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
