Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} c. to Dy.{F R Danby} c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} PETROL TANKS - 20/25 HP. & PHANTOM II. We are entirely in agreement with the suggestion that the two filters in the rear petrol tank can be done away with without any loss of safety. The present Enota filter together with the small filter in the Autovac are quite capable of looking after the petrol supply. Modern bodies, with totally enclosed rear ends make it almost impossible to remove filters of this type from the petrol tank. Peregrine and Japan III chassis are not provided with rear tank filters; experimental cars of these types have run 14,860 miles, without any trouble. We recommend that the filters are deleted from the petrol tanks on 20/25HP. and Phantom II chassis at the earliest convenient time. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} | ||
