Re Cotton fabric cone clutches in which staples alone are used. ------------ The above, which was recommended by Mr Royce, has been fitted and tested in one or two cars and found to be quite satisfactory. I recommend that same should be adopted as standard in preference to the present one. understood I note that Mr Royce has also seen these clutches and approved of same. The only trouble appears to be the edges fraying. These should be selvedged. E.P. A.W.
