Re Cotton fabric cone clutches in which staples alone are used.

The above, which was recommended by Mr Royce, has been fitted and tested in one or two cars and found to be quite satisfactory.

I recommend that same should be adopted as standard in preference to the present one.

I note that Mr Royce has also seen these clutches and approved of same.

The only trouble appears to be the edges fraying. These should be selvedged.
