EO.6 Watford Magneto.

Following Mr.North's visit on the 5th inst., I wrote his firm detailing precisely what we consider they ought to do to prevent the movement of the sleeve under armature re-action.
We are now in receipt of a letter from North & Sons Ltd. expressing regret that there has been a misunderstanding with regard to our wishes concerning the fitting of the sleeve and adding that they are making up sample machines with modifications to the fitting of the ends of the sleeves in the housings and are endeavouring to obtain the greater ease of movement required, while at the same time reducing the noise caused by movement of the sleeve under armature re-action.
This morning we have had a message from Mr.North stating that he hopes to visit us next week with modified magnetos for our approval.
I am glad to be able to report that the matter is now being actively pushed and that there is a prospect of our obtaining satisfaction at an early date.

Wd. {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead}
