X.3468 ATER A.T. PY. from Mr. c. to HG. c. to En. c. to Ds. c. to Ck.{Mr Clark} EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}22/F15.3.20. X.3468 RE. UNLOUVRED SIDE ENGINE GUARDS - 65-TW. The above chassis has come on test according to a special specification without any louvres in the side engine guards. Is it in order for this car to be delivered in this state, as it appears to be going to Spain, which is a particularly hot country, and certainly according to the behaviour of this car on test, we suspect that trouble will be experienced with the engine boiling and overheating of the floorboards. Do Sales Dept. realise this possible complaint, and cannot we avoid it? As it is, we do not feel that we can deliver the car as it is, unless it is by general consent of the Technical Dept., as in doing so we are sacrificing the above features. EP.{G.
