Minutes 9/3/33. -2- Worlo/R.29.3.33. MINUTE 2. PEREGRINE GENERALLY. Oil Consumption. Oil temperature. Petrol consumption. When definite progress has been made on the above, Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} will send the car back to France to continue running. LATEST POSITION AT 29.3.33. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/MJ.24.3.33. states Peregrine dynamo is held up until we can get the modified crankcase which allows the dynamo to run at lower speeds. Bensport is having preference, and it should be several weeks before we have a Peregrine fitted with the correct dynamo. E.5/HP.27.3.33. states that further progress has been made with the bad distribution and consumption on Peregrine. It has now been concluded that the fault has been traced to its source and modifications and further experiments are in hand to overcome it. With regard to the problem of oil temperature, we are completing the design for an oil cooler embodied in the radiator, and instructions will be issued this week. With regard to switchbox, we are starting a modified design to R's instructions in the electrical design section this week as soon as the Bensport Instrument Board instructions have been cleared up. MINUTE 3. WOODHEAD ROAD SPRINGS. Latest position from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/MJ.24.3.33. states that Woodhead springs have completed 10,000 miles satisfactorily on Peregrine. Expect to examine them sometime next week, (i.e., end March.) | ||
