The Technical Works, Lower Broughton,
Manchester.

Dear Sirs,

Re Dalby-Watson Optical Indicator.

We thank you for your letter of the 12th.
inst., containing two Indicator Diagrams taken with the
above indicator at 2300 r.p.m. These are very
interesting to us, and we would like to have known the
scale of these diagrams, as the suction loops look
proportionally large, unless the maximum pressure is
only moderate. We note that the indicator will work
up to about 400 lbs/sq.inch and to a speed of about
2300 R.P.M.

This of course would quite cover our
requirements for any one of our three types of engines.

We think it would be worth our while to
come and see this indicator in operation, and if you
could arrange for this on Thursday or Friday next,
the writer will be very pleased to pay you a visit for this
purpose.

Yours faithfully,
