This car came in this morning with a complaint of fierce take up and judders of clutch. The stay to gear box was free from slack and up to standard. Upon dismantling the clutch the flywheel face was badly torn up, and the clutch fabric was embedded with steel torn from the face. It was decided to follow out Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}'s memo i.e. fit weaker clutch spring, but as the flywheel face was so bad it was necessary to trim the face up. The result of this modification will be known during this week. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} | ||
