To Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} EFC 3678 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG29.3.20. V.3678 RE RADIATOR TUBES FROM AMERICA. During our last visit to Mr. Royce we took some samples of the radiator tubes which have been sent from America; these we showed to Mr. Royce. He agreed that the parts bought in America should follow as closely as possible to those which we are using but he doubted whether we could lay down any hard and fast law. He said, for instance, that it might not be possible to obtain the Cartridge drawn tubes in America. he thought that the best thing to do was to write to them and explain that we do not desire any radical change in the radiator tubes and would they please send an explanation why they had not followed the samples and specifications sent from Derby. I take it that you will take this matter up with the people on the American side. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} EFC RECEIVED. MAR 29 1920 | ||
