The next 20HP. to run 10,000 miles should have connecting rods with separate liners instead of whitemetalling the rods.

It is assumed that mild steel bushes are better and lighter than bronze, also that there would be no advantage in using mild steel rods, heat treat-ed{J. L. Edwards} and whitemetalled direct.
