Dear Mr. Sutton,

I have to thank you for your letter to this Company, dated November 20th, which has been passed to me, together with sketches you have made to illustrate your ideas on a possible styling theme for some future Rolls-Royce car.

Because in your letter you do not mention your age, it is rather difficult precisely to judge the merit of your design work, but it would appear to me that you have a lot of interest in the subject and quite a little talent, and one would hope therefore that you will continue to develop these things.

Reverting to your "Convertible" design, which I am now returning to you, I have really only one point of criticism to make and it is with the quarter window and door shutting arrangements - some pillar or suitable separation here would of course be necessary and perhaps also the folding away of the head behind the rear seats as drawn would be a little difficult ?

However, this is a good effort and I wish you every success in the future.

Yours sincerely,

J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} P. Blatchley
Chief of Body Styling
