For the attention of Mr. S.M. Viale.

Dear Sirs,

Rolls-Royce 40 mm. Gun Installation in Beaufighter.

Our drawing No. K.14157 showing the holes and reinforcing plate required in the floor beams to suit your rear mounting; and also the 3/8" dia. nut plates for the centre plane is now completed, and we are enclosing two copies herewith.

We are also including the drawings necessary for the removal of the di-pole aerial housing on the assumption that this modification has not been carried out on your aircraft at Hucknall. The drawings relating to this are Nos. 91901-07 inclusive and No. 92061; the latter being the detachable under panel.

The Duxford aircraft we find has to be altered, and we are hoping to send them a detachable under panel from our Production dept. with the attachment holes undrilled. Should you require it, we could no doubt supply one to your order.

We are despatching a port and a starboard nose panel in way of blast tubes, and our Mr. Radcliffe is ringing you for the order number as this will expedite despatch.

Yours faithfully,

L.G. Frise
Chief Designer.

Drawings sent to Dor.{Mr Dorey}
