Calorizing of Exhaust Pipes - "V" Series. I confirm mine Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}10/NJ24.8.25. This morning we are in receipt of a letter from the Calorizing Corporation of Great Britain, London, dated 24th inst., copy of which is attached. You will note that one of the tubes of the first set sent to Felling-on-Tyne has become distorted and bulged somewhat during treatment. I hope it will be possible to adjust the distortion. You will note what the Calorizing Corp. say with regard to the cleaning of the uncalorized parts where the flanges will be brazed on. Finally, you will note that the Calorizing Corp. would like to have our comments, or in other words a report on the tubes, presumably after we have tested them. Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} Ltr.att. | ||
