BENTLEY III. UNIT

Further to our memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}1/MH.{M. Huckerby}11.10.37., for the assembly of 4 experimental Bentley III units, will you please incorporate:-

(1) Valve springs to Rs.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}540 dn Swedish wire and coiled at R.R.

(2) Top valve spring washers to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}400.

The inclusion of these springs will enable the unit to be run up to 4500 R.P.M. without bounce.
