Description: SMITH MOTOR TYPE ELECTRICAL CLOCK.

Purpose: To provide a more reliable clock.

Brief Report and Remarks: Approximately 25,000 hours on experimental cars with satisfactory results.
One fitted to S.B.D. now on 15,000 mile tests in France.

When recommended for Introduction: As soon as existing stock of Empire clocks is exhausted.

Production Position and Comments: Introduction of the Smith Motor Type Electric clock for improved reliability can be effected without scrap at the 126th. chassis in 'M' series when existing stock of Empire clocks will be exhausted.
No tool cost is involved and there is no difference in Factory cost.
