I have seen the coachbuilders' drawing, and am very distressed to find that we cannot finesse dimensions more finely than that shown for the rear seat. This has caused the body builders to make the rear seat too high.
Will Mr. Bailey examine the model with Mr. Hives, and see that the dimensions over the back axle gear box are as fine as possible; I suggest thin board or metal plate which axle box may touch at extreme bump (with rubbers compressed to 1/2") to form the level for the underside of the cushions.
Apparently, the body which has been built by Mulliners and also the new one is about 2 1/2" higher than need be.
On enquiries we find it is possible to arrange the runners for the body to go outside of our frame. This will make our things quite satisfactory.
I understand we issued a drawing of the body which showed reasonable back seats, but this has been let or ignored.
