For the attention of C.Falconer,Esq.,
Dear Sir,
Re: "Rover" type Door Locks.
We thank you for your letter of the 7th.inst. re the special "Rover" type Wilmot/Breeden door locks and print of your drawing ref: 8718, drawing No.13138. This drawing appears to only show the lock for the front door of one of the cars in question, and although a remote control handle has been drawn, it is marked cancelled; in spite of the fact that a recessed remote control handle is called for on both cars, in view of the fact that Fisher type ventilating windows are to be fitted. As we do not think this drawing will be considered sufficient for the lock makers, we are returning the print herewith, and would be glad if you would send us a drawing showing the doors in the vicinity of the locks for both front and rear doors of both cars, and indicating the remote control on the driver's door.
We have been given to understand confidentially, that there is now considered to be nothing materially wrong with the lock we are proposing to fit.
Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
Car Project Office.
