RECEIVED AUG 28 1930

NITRALLOY STEEL FOR CRANKSHAFTS.

Referring to R1/M22.8.30. at the moment we have the following crankshafts made in nitralloy steel :-

4 'F' type engine.
3 20 HP. chassis
2 40/50 HP. chassis.

I propose to increase the 20 HP. and 40/50 HP. to six off each, and I suggest that Rg.{Mr Rowledge} should obtain consent from the Air Ministry for the use of a sufficient number of these cranks to cover all our development engines.
