To HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} Copy to CJ. " " WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} " " BY " " WD.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} RE MONEL METAL. X4306 On my request the sheets of the above metal have been sent with a view of fitting two chassis with radiators and plating with the object of seeing whether the improved appearance and the less rapid tarnishing would justify the extra expenditure for this metal. We could also find out whether Birmingham could modify the nickel alloy which we usually use for this purpose without greatly increasing its cost, and we would like Mr. Hall to take this matter up with a view to modifying our specification for this metal if it can be done without greatly increasing the cost.
