A.C.C. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/AD. August 10th, 1931. M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Olley Esq. Cadillac Motor Car Co. Detroit, Michigan. Dear Cy. I have not had time recently to pester you for information on car work because we have been up to our neck preparing the engines for the Schneider Cup Race. Miss England, the motor boat fitted with two 1929 R.{Sir Henry Royce} engines is leaving Derby this week for Detroit to take part in the motor boat Race there which is held the first week in September. I am enclosing herewith a letter of introduction for you to Mr. Kaye Don who is driving the boat and who will be pleased to let you look over it if you are interested. There will also be with it, three mechanics from Derby, one of them, the second mechanic, to ride in the boat, is EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}'s son. I suggested to Mr. Kaye Don that whilst he is at Detroit he ought to take the opportunity of trying to look round the General Motors proving ground and I suggested to him that you would most probably be able to arrange this for him. With very kind regards, Yours, | ||
