| Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ----- X7961 BY.5/G.18.4.34. BENTLEY CHASSIS - A.H.R. Fedden, Esq., -------------------------------------- The difficulty is that it has been necessary to produce special stub axle forgings and mud wing brackets, and we have only just been able to get promise of delivery from our Drop Forge people. However, the stub axles have now been received, and we are informed that the Drop Forgers hope to deliver the mud wing brackets on Tuesday next. There has also been some delay in getting the exact shape of the mud wings settled with Park Wards. However, the Works are now in a position to inform Sales in regard to delivery of this chassis, and they hope to complete by the end of the present month. As the stub axles are hand forgings, dies not being available for the specialised form of stub axle, a considerable amount of machining work is entailed, and we feel therefore Mr. Fedden will appreciate the difficulty in getting one set of special parts put through quickly.
