Dear Mr. Skinner,

With regard to the present Bentley
Carburetters.

We are not exactly satisfied with the finish of the pistons, the machined surfaces are very rough in some cases, just as if the cutting tool has been chattering.

Also when the grooved surface is ground the "burrs" are not removed from the grooves.

Production are complaining of the dirty state of the carburetter interiors, and in some cases I have noticed quite a number of alum. and brass chippings in the carb. bodies and pistons.

As we do not strip every carburetter down before fitting to a chassis, will you please be good enough to arrange for all parts to be cleaned before assembling.

Kind regards,

Yours sincerely,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
