Dear Sirs, In reply to your letter of the 25th instant we have carefully noted the remarks you make concerning the Rings for relining Aluminium Drums. In view of your remarks Mr. Wolstenholme will not come down, unless you particularly desire to see him some time. The brinell number of the material we offer would be between 200 to 250, according to your requirements, but as regards the value of Young's Modulus, we have no particulars of this nature and if you really need them could obtain them from the University. We suggest the most satisfactory method is for you to try the four Rings to which you referred, adopting our suggestion of pressing and pegging, and we shall be pleased, having already quoted for these, to supply you accordingly.
