Dear Sirs,

We duly received yours ref. CHK/HWJ. of the 23rd ult., in answer to ours of Sept. 20th, relating to H.T. brush squeaks on the EW6 magnetos. On passing on a copy of your letter to our Test Dept. we have received from them the following reply :-

"We do not agree with Messrs. Norths that "the brush squeaks only occur when magnetos "have been standing for some time, or that "the noise will cease after running a short "time.
"Our experience is that the squeaks develop "on magnetos in service, and do not disappear "until the brush has been rebedded."

We should be pleased to hear your further remarks.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
