Goshawk 11" - Laminated Road Springs.

In my note Wd {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} 3/NJ24.3.22 I conveyed to you a message from Thos.Firth & Sons Ltd. that they hoped to deliver to us two sets of laminated road springs, 550 lbs front and 900 lbs rear, on the 1st inst., both sets being of Chrome Vanadium Steel.

I regret to have to announce the receipt of a further letter from Firths, dated 31st ult. stating that owing to the present labour troubles they have not been able to get the hardening dies machined which are necessary for these springs and they have had to make various temporary dies, which has caused delay, so that they regret that it will probably be towards the end of this week before the two sets of springs can be delivered. This is very disappointing.

Wd. {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead}
