Mr. Fairey has now had his Phantom 11 in use for some days, and at no time in my experience have I ever found him to be so enthusiastic about anything as he is over this car. It appears to have averaged 51 miles an hour from London to Folkestone on Sunday evening, and he states that he has done 90 miles an hour across Hartley Flats; in addition to which he put it across a Hispano car in France - much to his delight. As far as propaganda is concerned, he will undoubtedly talk a good deal about his car and help to "spread the Gospel of the Phantom 11" as a car quite competitive with any other so-called "Sporting Cars" as far as performance is concerned. As the Official who usually has to deal with Mr. Fairey's matters, I would like to express my appreciation of all concerned at Derby in contributing to the above most excellent result.
