FRONT BRAKE OPERATION - BENTLEY III We send herewith N.SCH: 5198 showing the operation of the Girling Brakes of the front wheels of Bentley III. This scheme is of importance in that it shows a boss on the yoke piece to carry the fulcrum of the idler gear. Due to the shortness of the link between this lever and the wedge, we have felt it necessary to provide universal joints at both ends. There is a small horizontal angular displacement of the longer link between this lever and the idler lever on the frame, but we suggest that to begin with, we use pins which are slack in the levers to accommodate the small angularity, following a Girling principle.
