1/2 SCALE LAYOUT OF FRONT BRAKE OPERATION - B.111.
This scheme shows the brake linkage from the servo balance lever to the intermediate levers on the front crossmember. The rod from the servo balance lever is carried clear of the clutch housing by an idler lever whose fulcrum is on a pin screwed into a boss on the lower half crankcase. From this idler a rod passes below the oil filter to a second idler carried off the top half crankcase. From the centre of this idler a rod runs below the engine foot to the brake balancer, which is of the swinging link type, the fulcrum of the link being located on a flat seating formed on the sloping surface of the front crossmember pressing.
The fulcrum pins of the idlers are provided with oillite bushes and felt washers, and all these parts are the same for both levers.
All the pins, forks and collars used are K or KB. parts, but the holes in the lever bosses should be drilled .3248.
