X4533/k To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from Ha/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/KT.15.6.33. C.13 UNIT. All road performances of the Bentley cars have been established on the first black saloon car. We therefore want a careful record of the power of C.13 unit which was fitted to this car, before we bring it up to date or make any major alterations. Our first attempt to do this resulted in a big end running. If it is found necessary we should like the big ends and main bearings only to be replaced. We will then have the engine on the test bed and get a complete power curve before handing the unit over to you for new pistons, crankshaft, cylinder head, etc. Ha/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
