PETROL TANK. With regard to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid{A. J. Lidsey}/1/KT.11.9.33 I cannot understand how special fittings of this nature have been sent to London and fitted to two of our demonstration cars without at least going through the usual routine of being standardised, or approved. I had no communication concerning these, and I understand a memo D/BF/HDG/G.11.8.33 was sent to Lillie Hall in respect of this. It would appear that certain officials seem to think that any sort of oddment of an unauthorised nature can be added to our important demonstration cars as if they were Christmas trees. FN. | ||
