X.2512 - RE CONDENSERS. (1) The three auxiliary condensers on resonance together give a reading of 3.5 on Lucas volt meter. (2) The same on 350 volts from transformer together give a reading of 3.8. Hence resonance voltage = 320. (3) The three auxiliaries plus a chassis condenser give a reading of 9.5 on resonance, and a reading of 7.0 on 350 volts. Hence resonance voltage = 475 Ratio of total capacities = (9.5 / 3.5) x (320 / 475) = 7.0 / 3.8 = 1.8 (4) The three auxiliary condensers on 400 volts give a reading of 4.5 on Lucas voltmeter., and 8.0 on adding one chassis condenser. Ratio 1.8 (5) On 450 volts readings are 5.5 and 9.6. Ratio 1.75 | ||
