Order No. (2) by any old std single type and the ignition again tried, when low speed running and pick up were found to be quite OK. The double ballast was then put back and the contact breaker gap opened to .025", and the results were quite good, there being only one occasion when a misfire occurred on the pick up. Readjusting the gap to .018" the performance was again tried and was very much the same as before with this combination, missing occurring upon accelerating with full throttle from 4mph on top gear.
