The failure of coil resistances due to water ingress and the proposed solution of drilling a drain hole in the bakelite case.

There have been two recent failures of the coil resistances due to the bakelite cases becoming full of water. This apparently has come about by high pressure washing. The water entering by the hinge of the bonnet and dropping into the resistance cases. A small hole drilled at the bottom of the bakelite case would overcome any further trouble of this source.
