E.7.C. J.D.119. X6021 19-2-31 X6021 Examination of U.S.A. Exide 6 volt unit Battery Type 3XCR-13-1RA for LH {Mr Haworth} Chassis. This battery is a 3 compartment moulded container type made of hard rubber, more commonly known as ebonite. Solid lead burnt up connections are used & the terminals are of the taper post type. Using the clips terminal will be found difficult because this will not pass through the hole provided in the chassis box. The layout of the cells is not a mirror inversion of our Std. R.H. batteries, this means the cable must pass over the battery top to the terminal. The sealing compound is very soft & will run into the cells at temperatures likely to be experienced. (contd.) | ||
