Dear Sirs, We have to acknowledge receipt of your esteemed letter of the 21st instant. Remarks outlined have been carefully noted and, as stated per telephone this afternoon, we are at a loss to understand the close coiling of black thrust springs on the 10.A3 clutch, and we will investigate this matter immediately. In accordance with your request we have arranged to send you two sets of cream springs for the 10.A6 clutch, and note with interest the remarks contained the last paragraph of your letter when you advise that further experiments are taking place with various driven plates on the Phantom III application. Finally, we would confirm telephone conversation of to-day when you requested the early despatch of six special 10" Driven plate assemblies and two special 11" clutches. As stated, we are awaiting receipt of special facings. It is understood from our suppliers late to-day that the 10" facings will be in our hands by Wednesday next; the 11" facings we hope will be received later during the week. We assure you that immediately facings are received we will assemble and despatch complete units to you.
