INDIA TYRE & RUBBER COMPANY (GREAT BRITAIN) LTD. TELEPHONES: PAISLEY 4141/5. TELEGRAMS: INDIAOWL, RENFREW. INCHINNAN SCOTLAND LR{Mr Ellor}/DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions} FROM THE FACTORY'S SPECIAL REPRESENTATIVE X4462 Tuesday 23rd January, 1934. E.W.Hives, Esq., Experimental Department, Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd., DERBY. Dear Mr.Hives, I hope you will forgive my worrying you with this letter, but I had some correspondence with Mr.Robotham just before he left for America; the last letter I received from him was dated the 19th December, 1933 in which he said he would try and arrange for some particular tyres which had been run on the Bentley to be returned to our Factory for examination, as the tyres which had been run on the front axle of this car were showing a peculiar type of treadwear. We are most anxious to have the opportunity of seeing these actual tyres, and although Mr.Robotham was kind enough to send us a Blue Print, up to the time of writing, they have not received the tyres at the Factory. I should be most grateful if you could have them sent. They should be addressed to Paul Worth, Esq., The India Tyre and Rubber Co. Ltd., Inchinnan, Renfrewshire, Scotland. I think the tyres in question were a set which had been tried just after the angle of the king-pin had been increased by three degrees. Yours sincerely, Rothes- PLEASE REPLY TO 30, St.John's Wood Road, NW.{N. Walker - Patents}8. | ||
