K40621 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}5/KW. 19th December, 1933. The Earl of Rothes, 30 St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} John's Wood Road, LONDON. N.W.8. Dear Rothes, Thank you for your letter of the 14th December. I was sorry I missed you on Wednesday. I was certainly crossing in the gale all right, and had a most exciting run to Paris. The roads were a sheet of ice. The India tyres did their best, but I had to turn road repairer on more than one occasion, and throw gravel on the surface before I could get up even a slight incline. I will try and arrange for the tyres to go to Inchinnan before I leave for America on the 30th December. Yours sincerely, | ||
