Aprilia C H A S S I S To meet the demand of customers requiring Bodies of special lines and dimension we offer, besides the Standard APRILIA Saloon, a new type of APRILIA Chassis with longer wheelbase. As early as 1929 with the DILAMBDA Model the LANCIA Company had put into practice the principle of a frame with central cross-member; this principle has now been improved in the APRILIA Chassis by the new flat rigid box-shaped frame, the whole area of which concurs to the effect of increasing the rigidity of the system. This latest patented feature makes it possible to keep the floor of the car very close to the road and to obtain the maximum speed efficiency, owing to the reduction in air resistance given by the completely flat undercarriage. The APRILIA Chassis is also provided with four-wheel independent suspension, and the general lay-out of the engine and transmission allows a wide range of selected coachwork of large dimensions, even for 6/7 passengers with occasional seats facing forward.
