Enough Rubber Connections have been received from the Avon Co. to complete 29 engines. By the end of this week they will be able to supply enough for our orders. A letter was received by Mr. Bailey from Capt. Briggs of the Air Ministry, stating they could not allow us to send engines away without Rubber Connections, but it has been ascertained that where special cases arise, such as engines being delivered to Australia or China, satisfactory arrangements will be made to obviate troubles of this nature. (2) REPAIR DEPARTMENT. We are hopeful before June 16th. that we shall have a definite estimate for the Repair Dept. scheme. (3) RADIATORS. We have had two or three failures of the D.section tubes in radiators. The Meeting agreed that Mr. Whitehead should write to Greenwood & Batley saying that as we had one or two failures in these tubes, we should like to test them at our Works. Would they kindly supply us with a testing outfit for same. (4) TRANSPORT. We have at present two trucks working in the Works and one more on order. One station is completed and | ||
