CHASSIS S/C. UNIT.

The following is an approximate summary programme of the work to be done by the Shop on the above unit in the next few weeks.

SHOP Unit at present dismantled for inspection. To be rebuilt with No.2. High Power Head. (RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}314), strengthened exhaust valves (RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}340) and new I/C. T.H. |
Power and detonation tests (Check on previous results.) | 1 day.
SHOP Remove RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}314 head, and fit No.1.High Power Head. Instructions to be issued for modifications to No.2.Head. |
Power and detonation tests to line up with previous results. | 3 days.
SHOP The alum high power head (RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}315) to be fitted, with high lift rockers and 1.750" inlet valves. |
Power and C.R. tests, with detonation and ignition advance curves. Various thicknesses of gasket will be tried, and these will be instructed shortly. | 7 - 10 days.
