Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/MU.9.4.31. QUARTERLY COMPLAINTS. HYDRAULIC SHOCK ABSORBERS. We attach hereto an arrangement drawing F.83611 which shews all the parts we require fitting to the Phantom II rear shock absorbers that you are at present preparing for the bump chassis, and which are urgently required. You will recollect that we asked you to put through material for half-a-dozen sets to enable us to get as much experience as possible. We understand from the D.O. that they have issued all the details necessary for these shock absorbers to be completed. With regard to the Phantom II front shock absorbers. We observe that these to N.Sch.3244 are almost completed and should be glad if they could be finished off so that we can push on with endurance running. We would ask you to do all you can to complete this job as we have stopped the Works making shock absorbers pending the completion of these tests.
