BREWSTER BUILDING, LONG ISLAND CITY STILLWELL 4-8240 Long Island City March 21, 1938 Mr. W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham Rolls-Royce Ltd. Derby, England. Re:- Chassis 3-AZ-194 - Demonstrator Dear Mr. Robotham: With further reference to our letter of August 4, 1937, the last paragraph of which refers to the objectionable steering in the above car, I am wondering if anything can be done in connection with this matter. In demonstrating the car almost everyone has complained of this quite annoying working of the steering on a comparatively good road. Lewis made some attempts to correct this trouble when he was here, but was not successful; neither have we been able to remedy it. The steering box on this car is also giving quite a lot of trouble. Inasmuch as it is not oil retaining it always becomes empty at two or three thousand miles, making it necessary to continually refill it. Would appreciate it if you could do something to overcome this complaint as I feel it should be done under the Company's warrantee. As you know, we have now purchased the car and it is quite important that we have it performing at its best, otherwise we will not be able to dispose of it very readily. Very truly yours, J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} S. INSKIP, INC. [Signature of H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Adkins] Vice President H.Adkins:LA{L. A. Archer} | ||
