Radio/G.C Dear Mr. Fowler Clark, Many thanks for your letter of the 6th inst., giving details of the position with regard to the dashboard instruments. I note your remarks regarding my suggestion of coming over to see you and confirm that if you think this would be useful any time, I shall be pleased to call whenever convenient to you. I am under the impression that you have been rather interested in certain instruments employing spring jewels, and whilst such instruments may have certain things in their favour, especially where the movement is relatively heavy, I am inclined to think that some discussion on this particular point might be useful. I realise, of course, that you have been rather unfortunate in some of your dealings with FERRANTI Ltd., and in the case of the instruments these troubles have possibly been partly caused by excessive attention, as you may know from your own experience that very often when something of a highly special nature has to be done things have a tendency to go wrong, whereas if the matter is left to its ordinary routine everything progresses satisfactorily.
