600. To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager}1/JH.12.5.38. WRAITH CAR 25.G.VI. We are sending the above car into the fitting shop for the following jobs - (1) Fit fully isolated type change speed lever. (2) Fit latest type rear engine mounting to GCD.477. (3) Examine whole of front road suspension and steering gear. Whilst this car was being run on the drums something went off with a load report and our external observations have failed to reveal any breakage. On the road however there is a pronounced thumping from the front suspension and the N/S tyre has scrubbed away very badly showing that something has occurred at the front end. We should like you to remove the rubber isolation scheme to LEC.5114 and refit the standard parts. (4) Fit tubular exhaust stay to front expansion box to ECD.638. (5) Fit similar tubular stays experimentally from the intermediate pipe to the clutch casing. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} | ||
