Dear Mr. Healey,

With reference to your letter ref. W.D.B. of the 6th inst.

I much regret that I cannot establish a single case where it was proved that tyre noise was materially reduced by the shape of the wing, nor do I know of the car you mention illustrated in "The Motor".

The subject appears to be like so many others, mainly conjecture without experimental proof.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
