DESCRIPTION of Alteration:
In connection with the proposals of sheet No.40 we submit Lubrication scheme for Engine Coupling Sphere and Torque Tube from oiler under R.H.side of bonnet.

To render these parts as easy for lubrication as possible (to escape neglect) while avoiding the possibility of filling them with grease, introducing dirt etc. at an alemite lubricating station. (See letter herewith.)

We propose to put this alteration into regular manufacture on January 15, 1925 unless we hear from Mr. Johnson and Mr. Royce to the contrary.

Tested: 10,000 miles 4 months' use.
Estimated cost: $5.00 per car (part of 1101 change)
Proposed Chassis at which alteration should start: 1101.
Cost of parts scrapped, if any: None
Increase in weight, if any: Slight increase.
