Please address all replies to the Company only and quote reference as under: Broadway Court, 8, Broadway, Westminster, London, s.w.1. 24th December 1931. W.A.Robotham Esq. Messrs Rolls Royce Limited, Derby. Dear Mr.Robotham, Many thanks for your letter of the 21st December. I should be very glad to see Mr.W.Parsons and to discuss matters with him, as at the present moment, we have not made any arrangements for manufacture in France. Would you be good enough to write to him and ask him to get in touch with me when he comes over to England sometime after the 15th February, as I expect to be back from America by that date. With regard to my lecture, at Detroit, on the 26th January, I shall look forward to seeing you there. I had thought of crossing in the "Baltic" but as this was an eight day boat, and also at this time of year they are more often a day or two late, it did not give me enough margin to make certain of being in Detroit on the 26th January, and therefor I had to sail in the Berengaria. If I can manage to get up to Derby with the new cars I shall come over to your Works early on Saturday morning the 2nd January, but I am somewhat doubtful whether I shall have time. In any case, If I come I will give your people a ring on the telephone to see whether this date will be convenient to you. With kind regards, Yours sincerely, C Dennis Burney | ||
