[Handwritten in blue crayon: GRY{Shadwell Grylls}] Mr. Ramsbotham, Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd. DERBY. Dear Mr. Ramsbotham, If you will remember when I was up pestering you people about samples for chrome deposit, you asked me if I could suggest any way you could use it on cars. Well, the mighty brain has been working and it strikes me that the brake drums of a car have to stand considerable wear and I do not see any reason why this process of ours should not be ideal for the job. We have not tried it yet and I am wondering whether you would like us to do a set of drums for you and you could try them out. We have not approached anyone else upon the subject so you will be first in the field. If this is too much bother, just tell me to go to hell. The samples that Mr. Coverley sent down are coming through beautifully and we will be returning them in the course of the next few days. Kindest regards, Yours sincerely, [Signature of V.H.Baker] (V.H.BAKER). | ||
